Getting it Right - Selecting the Best Vendor

Selecting the right system, and implementing it to business requirements, can make the difference between a system that costs your organization money with a lengthy payback - or dramatically improves your operations and produces measurable returns on investment.

Everyone wants the perfect solution, but let's be realistic - that just doesn't exist.  What does exist is a selection of various vendors that purport to have the solution for you.  In reality, some solutions are more suited to specific needs.  And, some vendors have solutions that while not the best fit - may have a price point that's more appropriate for you.  That's why it is critical to determine your core business needs and cost considerations.

At Sability, we do this by a first getting a comprehensive look of your organization.  By running the WFM Scorecard first, we are able to establish your critical areas for improvement.  We use the scorecard results to drill down to the priority items to pull together a set of requirements, a Request for Proposal (RFP), an infrastructure assessment, budgetary analysis, and a short-list of vendors with the closest fit to your requirements.

The next step is interviewing the vendors. If you choose to do this independently, we provide you with a list of selection criteria and interview questions to ensure that you collect the information ready for analysis to support solid decision-making.

Building your WFM Roadmap

The final steps in the process are the most critical for getting things off on the right foot with both the vendor the stakeholders in your organization - and we are there to help.  After analyzing your results, you now have the critical information to build the implementation plan and present findings and request funding.  It is important to take a full, 360° view of your organization and how the project will fit.

Developing a comprehensive implementation plan at this point will be critical in defining overall costs for use in later measurements.  With Sability's experience in implementation, we can help you develop a realistic, comprehensive plan that will specify costs, identify potential risks and mitigation plans, who needs to be involved, and how the project should be structured.
